General Motors' Journey to Feature Flags with LaunchDarkly
In this talk, Jim will guide us through his team’s journey at General Motors to take full advantage of LaunchDarkly. Jim will also highlight how Agile development and feature flags complement one another to provide the greatest value.
Jim Demercurio
Jim currently holds the position of Director of Mobile Solutions in the Digital Business Team. In this role, he is responsible for all customer-facing mobile applications including Mybrand (MyGMC, MyChevrolet, MyCadillac, MyBuick) and Onstar Guardian.
Jim joined General Motors in 1995 where he held a number of roles in Product Development in both Engineering and Information Technology. In 2015, Jim transitioned to the Global Connected Consumer Experience organization where he worked on a number of Onstar back office systems. He worked on advanced technologies including Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) and Supercruise. He transitioned to responsibility for the Global Advisors Application (GAA) and Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) prior to taking on Mobile.
