Ship Faster with the New LaunchDarkly Approvals Dashboard featured image

Heavy change management often inhibits organizations from shipping features quickly. However, change management is also essential to ensure minimal risk and maintain compliance.

To that end, flag approvals are an important step in many of our customers' release processes so that features are shipped with the highest quality. Yet, visibility into tracking and managing approvals has been a challenge for many of our customers.

In order to help solve this problem, we’re excited to let you know we've released a new approval requests dashboard in LaunchDarkly to better track and manage approvals. This, along with an improved Slack integration, will keep you apprised of new requests and boost collaboration between teams using LaunchDarkly.

With a singular dashboard, LaunchDarkly customers can now easily visualize, filter, and sort approval requests. To access the approval requests dashboard in LaunchDarkly, click on the approvals icon at the top of the page.

By default, LaunchDarkly will now display any requests that need your review. You can adjust the filters to view other approval requests as needed. To learn more about LaunchDarkly approvals and how to manage them, you can read about them in our product docs.

Previously in LaunchDarkly, there was no singular place to access approvals across a variety of flags. Instead, you had to navigate to each individual flag to see any pending approval requests.

Now, with the approval requests dashboard, it’s easy to get notified immediately so you can move away from long, complex, approval cycles. We are excited to provide you with a holistic view of pending flag changes that require attention so that you can act faster, reduce the toil of managing changes, and get new features into the hands of your customers quicker.

This feature is now available in Professional and Enterprise plans. If you have any feedback or ideas for other ways to improve approval management in LaunchDarkly, please send us an email at feedback@launchdarkly.com.
