Change management is not always an exciting subject to talk about. But it is a critical one for software organizations working in a global market.
Fortunately, LaunchDarkly is taking some of the manual burden out of supervising software changes with our Slack integration.
LaunchDarkly serves 20 trillion feature flags daily, allowing teams to ship software quickly, safely and reliably. All those flags represent changes to software applications. Whether you have 100 or 1,000 feature flags, it can be difficult to track changes and enforce a change management process in a way that protects the experience of your end-users.
That’s why LaunchDarkly also provides a native approval system and comprehensive audit log: these features empower you to automate the right controls so your business can stay on top of governance and security initiatives.
Previously, teams collaborated on reviews and approvals via email. Now, with the LaunchDarkly app for Slack, you can manage those approvals easily from your favorite collaboration tool without skipping a beat.
When connected, your team members will immediately receive a notification when their review is requested for a flag change. Each notification shows the details of the proposed change. You can choose whether the approval is approved or declined, and then apply those changes directly from Slack, without having to log in to the LaunchDarkly site.
The app also shows whether another team member has already responded to a flag change request, reducing unnecessary distractions. The LaunchDarkly app for Slack promotes real-time collaboration and faster responses for change requests that impact your application.
The Slack app with approval management is available to all Pro and Enterprise customers.
