Launched: Saved Dashboards Help You Quickly Access Your Most Used Feature Flags featured image

LaunchDarkly’s flag dashboard is the control panel that teams use to review and manage their features, and it’s a place we spend a lot of time when orchestrating each launch. We set out to make it easier for multiple teams within an organization to use LaunchDarkly and still allow individual team members to drill down to the feature flags that are relevant to them.

Today, we’re introducing a new saved dashboards capability to give you the ability to save frequent filter views and quickly navigate between flags with ease.

Using saved dashboards to simplify flag management

With saved dashboards it’s easy to configure the flag lists to match common personal workflows like a current feature in development or cleaning up old flags. Save useful dashboards so LaunchDarkly remembers your filtered views, and access them with a single click.

Let’s look at a few ways you might use saved dashboards in your everyday work:

  • Find the flags you maintain on a specific feature launch – filter for a launch tag + maintained by ”me”.
  • Check for inactive flags in Production – filter for a team’s tag + inactive flag status.
  • Jump back into work in your personal Dev environment – filter for active flags + scoped to your Dev environment.

It’s simple to set up views tailored to your personal, or team-wide, practices. And just as simple to share a dashboard link with a teammate so you can share handy shortcuts or work from the same context.

Continuously improving the dashboard experience

Empowering all teams to confidently and efficiently manage their features is one of our primary goals at LaunchDarkly. We will continue to deliver enhancements like saved dashboards, enhanced filters, and cross-environment flag status to save you time and effort so you can focus on what really matters—building new value!
