Experimentation

Marlo Abramowitz

Write a stronger experiment hypothesis with AI assist

The hypothesis field in the experiment builder can now help you write the hypothesis. Describe your idea in plain language, click Fix and grade, and LaunchDarkly restructures it into if/then/because form and grades it on three things: whether it names a clear change, a measurable outcome, and a reason you expect that outcome. Where a piece is missing, it tells you which one and leaves you a prompt to fill in rather than inventing a rationale on your behalf.

Most people setting up an experiment already know what they want to test and get stuck on how to frame it, and a loose hypothesis tends to produce a loose experiment: the wrong primary metric, an unclear decision at the end, or a design that stalls before it starts.

Available on accounts with AI features enabled. Read Creating experiments (https://launchdarkly.com/docs/home/experimentation/create#name-and-hypothesis).
