Wondering what’s new at LaunchDarkly? Check in each season for our release roundup and learn about updates, new capabilities, and expansions of our products.
In this roundup, we'll highlight some of the key milestone updates we've released over the last few months. Among them is a better way to run experiments, new templates for repeatable Workflows, key integrations, and faster approvals. We also teased some of these updates in last season's roundup, and are excited to provide more details in this post.
Run flexible, intuitive experiments as a natural extension of your workflow
In June, LaunchDarkly took feedback from hundreds of customers looking for a better way to run practical, meaningful experiments, and used it to launch the new and improved LaunchDarkly Experimentation.
Our experimentation platform sits on top of category-leading feature management, and delivers faster, actionable feedback cycles by integrating into your existing workflow, enabling actionable experimentation to all with a simple democratized setup, providing best-in-class architecture that allows you to experiment reliably and secretly at scale, and full-stack experimentation capabilities.

Bring the power of feature management to cutting-edge frameworks like Vue.js
After a season of improvements and hard work from our SDK team, LaunchDarkly is happy to announce that the client-side SDK for Vue is now generally available. With this latest SDK, applications built with the popular framework can now utilize LaunchDarkly feature flags.

Expanding LaunchDarkly’s commitment to healthcare with HIPAA compliance
In May, we were proud to announce an expansion of our commitment to healthcare customers looking to satisfy Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
At LaunchDarkly, protecting the privacy of our customers and their users is of the utmost importance. The platform already helps many healthcare companies with faster, safer, and more efficient software releases by never requiring any personally identifiable information (PII) or PHI, and comes out of the box with a number of safeguards for minimizing access to user data.

Scale your Workflows across hundreds of flags, environments, and projects with Workflow Templates
Your release checklist doesn’t need a browser bookmark anymore. Workflows in LaunchDarkly give you the ability to configure and automate a multi-step rollout process on a per flag basis. With the addition of Workflow Templates, you can now easily scale out those Workflows across hundreds of flags across environments and projects.
Enjoy seamless change management at scale with approvals by team
In addition to reviews by specific team members, you can now request approvals for flag changes from a team (as a reviewer). When approval is requested for a team, email and Slack notifications are sent to all team members for visibility and transparency, but approval application requirements are based on the environment setting; not all team members need to approve the request to roll out the flag changes.
View feature flags in Zendesk with the new Zendesk + LD integration
We're happy to announce our latest integration with Zendesk—available now to all LaunchDarkly Enterprise customers.
The Zendesk integration allows your team members to see feature flag variation information for a user right from within the Zendesk ticket. Using the same user ID, the integration pulls the right information from LaunchDarkly without requiring you to switch applications. Everyone in your support team can have total clarity about what experience a customer is being served.

Enhance your automated workflows with the LD + Zapier integration
The LaunchDarkly team is also happy to announce that our integration with Zapier is now available for Enterprise customers. This means you can now integrate LaunchDarkly with any of Zapier’s 5000+ apps without having to build custom solutions from scratch.
Use the app to automate common tasks, keep your teams up to date, and synchronize information across systems. You can even incorporate flag evaluations to dynamically modify Zapier workflows from LaunchDarkly!
Provision teams in Okta for consistency across your toolset
Okta and LaunchDarkly work together to provide user management for your account members. From single sign-on to user provisioning, Okta and LaunchDarkly let you automate the entire lifecycle of your users.
Now, LaunchDarkly allows you to sync groups from Okta to teams within your account. You can use this feature to create a new team or link an existing team with the same name to an Okta group, providing coherence and consistency across the two tools.
