LaunchDarkly Set to Roll Out an EU Region featured image

New EU instance will support EU data residency requirements

We are excited to announce that we will be expanding the infrastructure of the LaunchDarkly platform to include an EU region. This dedicated regional instance, which comes on the heels of LaunchDarkly joining the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, will enable EU data residency for our customers in Europe.

“We’ve seen growing demand for feature management, AI application management, and experimentation in the European market,” said Laurie Maclachlan, VP of EMEA at LaunchDarkly. “With our new EU instance, we’ll address data residency concerns and make it easier for engineering teams across the region to enjoy the benefits of feature management. We expect this investment to make a big impact, especially in heavily-regulated industries like financial services, energy, and the public sector.”

Why this matters for European organizations

As organizations across Europe face increasing regulatory requirements for data residency, we recognize the desire to keep your data close to home. The LaunchDarkly dedicated EU-based instance leverages hosting infrastructure located in Europe and allows you to store your end-user data in Europe.

This will allow you to focus on innovation, knowing that your data residency requirements are taken care of.
