Flagging at the Edge

Brian Rinaldi LaunchDarkly

Companies are always looking for ways to improve the performance of their apps. While LaunchDarkly provides flag data for web applications with minimal latency, what if there was a way you could deliver flags with no latency? Edge functions allow developers to intercept the request/response from the user’s browser and make modifications to it.

Caching, synchronizing and delivering flag data at the edge can mean that your end user gets the correct flag data with zero latency. Even modifications to the web page such as hiding and showing a feature in the UI can be made before the response ever hits the user’s browser. In this session, we’ll explore one way to do this using LaunchDarkly’s Cloudflare integration.
